Salty, Sweet Zeeland by Bike

On Saturday, October 10, 2026, hop on your bike for a culinary bike tour through the Bevelanden. The route, approximately 29 kilometers long, takes you through a landscape where saltwater and freshwater meet: past orchards, through the Kapelse Moer and Yerseke Moer, and toward Oosterschelde National Park, the oyster beds, and the villages of Kapelle and Yerseke.

What to Expect

Along the way, it’s all about tasting, discovering, and enjoying. You’ll visit the ZeeuwsFruitMuseum in Kapelle and the Oosterscheldemuseum in Yerseke, where you can also enjoy some coffee or tea. The tour is also rich in local flavors: Zeeland apple or pear juice, a fruit delicacy, and a glass of Zeeland wine paired with oysters and mussels. You’ll receive a “Zilt Zoet Zeeland” keepsake calendar and a route booklet with stamp stations for the culinary stops.

Practical information

You’ll start between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the Zeeuws Fruitmuseum in Kapelle. The route, which includes culinary stops, takes about 3.5 to 5 hours. Restrooms are available at the museums.
