Fruit orchards

A quarter of the fruit in the Netherlands comes from Zeeland. Fruit trees thrive in Zeeland’s clay soil. Especially in Zuid-Beveland, you’ll see many orchards with apple and pear trees. Kiwi berries also grow well here under the Zeeland sun. It’s a beautiful sight, all those orchards, especially in the spring when the fruit trees are in bloom. You can enjoy a lovely bike ride through the blossoming orchards. And in the fall, you can buy fresh apples and pears from the fruit farmers along the road. Want to learn more about fruit growing?
