Water gauge house

The water gauge house on the Sluisplateau in Wemeldinge is the workplace of the well-known Zeeland artist Jan-Willem Hament. This artist is best known for his drawings of Leuntje and Merien. You’ll see Leuntje and Merien everywhere in Zeeland. Many tourist shops sell products featuring Leuntje and Merien, such as sweaters, mugs, keychains, and postcards.
