Tide House

The Tide House (Peilhuisje) at the Sluisplateau in Wemeldinge is the workplace of the famous Zeeland artist Jan-Willem Hament. This artist is mainly known for his cartoons of Leuntje and Merien. You will come across Leuntje and Merien everywhere in Zeeland. Many souvenir shops sell items featuring Leuntje and Merien. Items like jumpers, mugs, key rings and postcards.
