It’s fall again, which means warm colors, fresh air, and cozy days both indoors and outdoors. The trees are slowly turning shades of red, orange, and yellow. It’s the season for pumpkins, rain boots, and cozy evenings on the couch with a nice cup of tea.

Fall break is coming up soon. It’s a week full of fun activities. There’s plenty to do in the municipality of Kapelle. From carving pumpkins to gnome forest bingo: there’s something for everyone.

Hollowing Out a Pumpkin

What comes to mind when you think of a spooky Halloween party? A pumpkin, of course! Get into the Halloween spirit and carve your own spooky pumpkin while enjoying a delicious Halloween Kids’ Punch and some candy. While you’re carving a beautiful pumpkin, your parents can have a drink and catch up in the brasserie.

The Halloween afternoon event is for all ages. It will take place on Sunday, October 25, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is organized by Hotel Brasserie Smits. The cost is €4.00 per child, which includes Halloween children’s punch and candy. Drinks for parents are not included.

Would you like to participate? You can register at Hotel Brasserie Smits. Send an email to info@smitswemeldinge.nl or call 0113 – 621 214.

Gnome Forest Bingo

Who can spot the first red hat among the trees? Go on an adventure together in the Kapelse Kabouterbos. Look for gnomes and make your walk even more fun with Gnome Forest Bingo: spot a gnome, mushroom, or chestnut and check off the box. Who will be the first to get three in a row? Wrap up your adventure with some climbing and scrambling at the nature playground next to the forest.

Admission to the Gnome Forest is free. A convenient starting point is Sportcentrum De Bloesem at Vroonlandseweg 45 in Kapelle. You can park and lock up your bike there. Follow the path past the skate park and the scout camp into the forest. Print out the bingo card and bring it with you. Leave the gnomes and nature undisturbed so that the next explorers can enjoy them too.

Crazy Spring Paradise

Spend the whole day climbing, jumping, and scrambling around in Kapelle’s largest inflatable playground. Young and old alike are welcome to have fun at De Bloesem Sports Center in Kapelle. You won’t be bored for a moment in this paradise. Had enough of jumping? You can use your admission wristband to go home between jumps. Which inflatables will be there is still a surprise.

You can visit the bouncy castle on Tuesday, October 20, and Wednesday, October 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is €8 per child (parents get in free).

Food and drinks are available for both parents and children. For the children, there are special meal and snack cards that let you decide for yourself what and when to eat.
