The Kapelse Forest has been transformed into a gnome forest. The gnomes are easy to spot thanks to their red caps. If you look between the tree trunks, you might find the circus or spot the sleeping gnomes. But be sure not to just look at the ground while you’re searching! They’re also up higher.
The gnome forest was created by a creative resident of the municipality of Kapelle. But the gnomes were warmly welcomed by the forest ranger.
Nature Play Area
There’s a nature playground next to Kapelse Bos. That makes it easy to combine these activities when you’re out and about with kids. There are tree trunks and small hills for them to climb and scramble over. It’s also a good idea to bring a soccer ball, since there’s a small soccer field near the woods.
Something for everyone!
The Kapelse Forest is a fun place to visit for people of all ages. Will you go on a scavenger hunt in the gnome forest too?
Practical
There are several ways to enter the forest, but for the most convenient parking, it’s best to go via the De Bloesem Sports Center. There is a large parking lot at the sports center, where you can also park your bike.
If you park here, you can follow the path along the skate park. You’ll walk past the scout hut and then right into the Kapelse Forest, where you’ll immediately come across the first gnomes.
