Twilight races

Take a walk along the Oosterschelde on Wednesday evening and enjoy the beautiful view of the water. You might even spot the sailors competing in the Twilight Races—a friendly, exciting sailing race that sometimes attracts as many as 30 participants. They set sail from Wemeldinge across the Oosterschelde, a magnificent spectacle you won’t want to miss on a beautiful summer evening.

Practical information

The races are organized by the d'Oosterschelde Water Sports Club for its members and berth holders on Wednesday evenings from May 6 through July 8 and on August 19 and 26, 2026.
