Fruit growers’ village of Biezelinge

Biezelinge used to be a port, and one of the main ports of Zuid-Beveland. The village was built alongside a large creek. In the course of the 17th century, the port started to silt up until it finally became defunct. Now the village is a fruit growers’ village boasting many apple and pear orchards. Especially in spring, the blossoming fruit trees are a beautiful sight. Would you would like to learn more about the history of fruit and fruit growing?
