Kids can also enjoy themselves in the sports centre and the forest of Kapelse Bos. We strive to offer a good variety of playground equipment. We want each child to have the opportunity to play in a fun and safe way.
Playground for children with and without a disability in Kapelle
The residential area Eliwerve in Kapelle boasts a unique playground. What makes this playground so unique, is that here, children with a disability can play with other children. Says Lucas, the former children’s mayor: ‘It’s a wish come true.’ There is a nice combination of playground equipment. For children in a wheelchair, there is a wooden structure with activity panels and a rope ladder. There are also tumble bars and a slide. This allows all the kids to play together. This playground is in Elstarstraat in Kapelle.
Sports, skating and playing in Kapelle
Sports centre De Bloesem in Vroonlandseweg offers many possibilities to play, for different ages. There is a skate ramp, a panna cage, basketball pitch and there are climbing frames. But also, a QR Fit trail. Behind the sports centre, is the forest of Kapelse Bos and the Kabouterbos (gnome forest). In these woods, there is also a natural playground. This is a perfect place for playing, working out and running around!
Two playgrounds in a single street in Wemeldinge
Oosterscheldestraat in Wemeldinge boasts two playgrounds. They are at a walking distance from the beach and the marina. Again, there is something for everyone: there are swings, tumble bars and a ping-pong table. But also, gym equipment and a football field.
Skate ramp and panna cage in Wemeldinge
Skateboarders and scooter riders are welcome at the skate arena in sports park Boenze Boogerd. In Onder de Linden Park, there is a panna cage for those who like to play a game of football.
Two playgrounds in Schore
Schore boasts a cute little playground in the village centre, in Boomweidelaan. It is only a small playground, but kids have every opportunity to go ape. There are swings, a seesaw, and a slide. There is another playground in Boomweidelaan, with a zip wire, a small football pitch and gym equipment.
